Oradour-sur-Vayres is located south-west of Limoges and is a gateway town to the Perigord-Limousin Regional Nature Park. It is also one of the departure spots for the region's "voie verte" (a 13 km tarred cycling/hiking path, along an old railroad track, between Oradour sur Vayres and Chalus). A mustn't miss is the town's annual fun fair with loads of exciting rides! The Tourist Office has a local crafts boutique and also invites visitors to discover the other towns in the Oradour-sur-Vayres area: Pensol, Marval, La Chapelle-Montbrandeix, Cussac, Champagnac-la-Riviere, Saint-Mathieu, Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire, Champsac and Saint-Bazile.

Limoges international airport is a 30 minute drive away and is served by a number of low cost airlines.
